A Newly Established Tradition

Northstar Bus Lines and American Student Transportation have embraced a new tradition within the company. We are celebrating our ten-year employees by presenting them with a special ten-year jacket. Custom varsity jackets have been created for our long-term employees, most of whom have been with us for over 13 years.

During our holiday lunch, we distributed 80 jackets across both terminals. Special recognition goes to Bill Donkers, Paul Cronquist, and Dan Halme, who have each dedicated 17 years as school bus drivers. Additionally, Larry Weist, who began his journey in 1994, is now celebrating his 32nd year with us. These individuals are truly the heroes of our community.

The decision to introduce the ten-year jacket as a new Northstar/American tradition reflects our commitment to recognizing the contributions of our long-serving school bus drivers. It also provides new employees with role models to connect with and aspire to as they navigate their careers. Furthermore, it serves as motivation for those nearing the ten-year milestone to continue their journey.
